Excellence in Teaching Award for Dr Ashok Chhabra

Congratulations to Dr Ashok Chhabra who has been recognised with an Excellence in Teaching Award from the GKT School of Medical Education. This award is based on nominations from peers who know his work best, and reflect his dedication and high standards in supporting the education of GKT medical students.

Dr Goldsack, Head of Undergraduate Medicine at QEQMH, commented: "On behalf of all in medical education, we would like to congratulate Dr Chhabra that his teaching has been deservedly recognised for an Excellence in Teaching award from Kings College Hospital".

Dr Prathibha, Director of Medical Education, said, "This is an exciting time for medical education in East Kent; this award exemplifies the quality of medical education that is being delivered and I would like to add my personal thanks to Dr Chhabra for his dedication to teaching medical students."

Dr Newson, Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, added, "In recent years the medical education department has appointed a number of education fellows to enhance undergraduate medical education; this award to Dr Chhabra demonstrates how much their work is appreciated by the students. Dr Chhabra has been innovative in delivering teaching and this work has been rightly rewarded."

The awards ceremony takes place at the GKT School of Medical Education Annual Teaching and Learning Conference on the 5th December at The Ortus, Denmark Hill.
