Health Education Awards
The Health Education Awards event, which has been running for a number of years now, is our annual celebratory event to recognise, acknowledge and reward the exceptionally hard work, leadership, teaching, mentoring, success and achievements of trainees, medical students, nurses, allied health professionals, SAS doctors, consultants, GPs and individuals who support, contribute and demonstrate best practice in the health education learning environment.
This event takes place at the Cathedral Lodge, overlooked by the wonderful, historic Canterbury Cathedral and is hosted by a prominent figure within education and is attended by many of the senior trust and medical education management and leaders.

Nominations
Winners and runners-up for the awards event are determined by nominations and decisions on how well the voting nominations meet the award criteria. Award nominations are judged on quality and not the quantity of votes.
Voters are asked to carefully consider the reasons behind their nominations such as initiative, leadership, teamwork, creativity, innovation and inspirational behaviour and attitudes.
Awards during COVID
Even during the challenging times of COVID-19 in 2020, we were able to host a socially-distanced COVID-19 recognition event to acknowledge the great efforts of all during the pandemic period
