Work Incentives at East Kent

A number of medical posts in EKHUFT are hard to fill roles which the organisation is finding challenging to recruit to due to national shortages, geographical and other issues. In some cases, these roles are covered by high cost agency workers. 
The Trust is working hard to support our Care Groups in reducing agency spend and recruiting substantive skilled medical staff into the organisation. 

We have a real need for skilled staff in Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Geriatric and Stroke Medicine, ITU and Pathology.  Please look out for jobs advertised at East Kent which will always advertise if the post is eligible for the recruitment and retention premia.

Recruitment and retention premia (RRP) are well established in the NHS and can be appropriately justified on the basis of hard-to-fill roles.  RRP are subject to regular review and, in the event of an employee leaving within a specified period, repayment can be required.
