Fellowships

Each year we fund a number of fellowships, including Sim Fellows, in the Medical Education department. These range from working in partnership with the Kent and Medway medical school through to supporting delivery of education within the trust. You will be funded to undertake qualification in medical education and supported with your application to become a member of the Academy of Medical Educators. You will gain experience in educational research, develop your teaching skills, have the opportunity to take part in OSCEs as an examiner and improve your skills in the design and planning of learning activity.

"This was a superb opportunity to gain an educational qualification and gain a whole new insight into the world of medical education."  Medical Education Teaching Fellow, 2019

"I've enjoyed every minute.  At first it seemed so unstructured after medicine but I have learned to organise around different educational projects and research."  Medical Education Teaching Fellow, 2020

Career development and elective programmes

We encourage medical students and doctors to undertake career development and elective programmes with us. During this time, you will get insights to the world of medical education through experiential learning alongside our leadership team.

Teaching

We support all students and doctors to develop their teaching skills. If you don't fancy a formal qualification, but want some peer reviewed teaching or feedback then we can support you with this. We can also help you write, plan and design courses of all sizes, write teaching materials and session plan.
