Simulation Training
As its name suggests, Simulation training is designed to replicate the experience of working in a real clinical environment (such as a ward, theatre, anaesthetic room, etc.) but using a sophisticated patient manikin (or simulated real patient). Multiple scenarios can be represented, and sessions are typically monitored (and recorded) from a control room via video links.
There are two simulation suites available, one at the WHH and the other at the QEQM.

Library
Library and Knowledge Services support staff and students with literature searches, finding evidence, research skills workshops, and journal and ebook access. They are represented across all three sites.

Medical Illustration
We also have a Medical Photography and Illustration Department (based at Margate) which, in addition to recording clinical conditions of patients, also provides an income generated illustration service (posters, leaflets, drawings, lecture materials etc.).
