Our busy Orthogeriatrics department provides a wide range of specialist and generalist services for the frail and elderly hip and non-hip patients. I specialise in Orthogeriatrics, Osteoporosis, Falls & Syncope and Heart Failure in the Elderly. I routinely perform Tilt Table studies that access complex cases of syncope in addition to running other outpatient clinic services such as Falls & Osteoporosis & Elderly Heart Failure clinics. Working alongside our team you will receive advanced training on aspects of Frailty, pre and post-surgical management of complex elderly patients who have a multitude of comorbidities. You will gain significant knowledge in the clinical examination and assessment of Cardiovascular and Respiratory patients in particular, besides understanding Dementia, Palliative Care, the principles of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and the role of the MDTs. All of this will give you an excellent opportunity to experience UK Orthogeriatrics & General Geriatrics practice along-with aspects of Acute Medicine in The Elderly"
